What happens when we die?

Today I am talking about Energy. Specifically about Food which is the energy that keeps us alive.

You eat food daily which has calorie contend and guess what.

A calorie is a source of energy. And that energy is what helps us maintain a temperature of approximately 98.6 degrees.

Now, this seems easy but if you think about it. It is not that easy. How do you maintain a body at 98.6 degrees when nothing else around us has that temperature?

You do it by burning energy. The food is your fuel that sustains the right temperature in your body.

Now if you have study biology, you know we need to sustain a temperature of around 98.6 to survive.

The moment you die you cannot longer maintain this energy consumption and the body temperature drops.

It drops to room temperature. As the body as no longer burning calories.

Now, this is the part I think is important, each and every molecule in our body has energy in it. When you get cremated, the energy in those molecules gets released into the air in the form of heat and out into space. And the energy is lost in space.

But, when you get buried, your body is placed on the ground. The worms and microbes will take part of your body and the energy in your body will go back to the earth. The earth that gave you that energy, you are giving back the energy you took from it.

That is the CYCLE of Energy and life.
