How Long Does It Take to Form A Habit?

By 0 No tags Permalink

They say that it takes 21 days to change a habit. This idea came from the 1960 book Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz. An amazing book that I just finished reading and I will be reviewing soon.

Now other experts say that there really is no such magic number when it comes to changing habits. With some other studies suggested 66 days and even more.

But the reality is that it really does not matter what is the magic number. We live one day at the time, and we will all need to start at day 1. You will never see a better version of yourself if you are not going to start the process. So we all just need to start and commit to it, commit to it for as long as it takes.

You have to understand that some of the habits you have may be hindering you from being the person you want to become, and if you really want to get change, you need to get started.

If you feel you cannot do it alone, it’s ok.
