Yes my friend, Keep your eyes on the stars, and your feet on the ground! Sometimes we get overwhelm giving all our attention to our problems and we forget to keep dreaming. I know there are things that seems to take the joy of our life, but we decide what we get the attention to…
This was a lesson I learned from an old lady I met a few years ago. I had an argument with my younger brother and was really mad. We were on vacation in SnowBird Utah. If you have never been there I can tell you, is a beautiful sky resort area where you go to have fun not to be mad at your brother.
She noticed I was really mad and separated from my family and called me aside. Then she said something like “Young lady, you are so beautiful and so bless to be here with your family. Why would you choose to be mad and not enjoy the moment”. I of course went on and on telling her about how my brother took the joy away from me when he forgot to get my snowboard and I had to go for it. At that moment she started laughing and telling me life is too short to worry about little things like that.
Back then I have to confess that did not made much sense to me but a couple of months ago it finally hit me. My happiness do not depend on my brother, or the new toy or what other people do. I decide what affect me or not. And even thought this seems like impossible, we can make it happen if we learn to be in control.
Be in control, that sound like impossible .. but the moment we realized life is too short to worry that much then we embrace life and try to be happy every moment of it and at the same time make other people around us smile.
Today, make an effort and make someone smile. Either by saying something really nice or just by smiling to them.
